About the Recipe

Apples are at the center of nearly every plate in the Alessian Isles. This sweet treat is a favorite among those in the southern half of the Isles in particular - during the colder autumn and winter seasons. The Alessian oatmeal breakfast is quick to make, delicious, and a wonderful ambassador to the world of the Alessian pallet. This meal dates back centuries, having been a preferred dish among commoners and nobility alike. Unlike many other parts of Valtiel, there isn't all that much of a difference between the plates of the common folk and the elites, other than the availability of meats and higher quantity for the powerful. Especially during the harvest, this oatmeal breakfast can be found on every plate, from the humble farmer to the table of the monarch.

In The Fall of Kings, the Alessian Oatmeal Breakfast is prepared by Chief-King Arthen Fane for his guests, to send them off on their journey. It is frequently served with warm bread and apple cider.
