Rhadymanthus

Rhadymanthus

Rhadymanthus was a soft-spoken man, his voice was smooth yet quite delicate. His eyes and skin were both a darker brown, and his beard was a charcoal grey that was simultaneously frizzy and straight. Despite his weaker voice, he had a presence that commanded a room, and he had a gift of quickly earning the respect of most he met.

About Rhadymanthus

Rhadymanthus is a legendary king of Melaine, known among the devout within the Twelve Divines faith for his role in fighting Ztunyr, the demon. The tale says that more than 1,534 years before The Fall of KingsRhadymanthus and the fabled King Revin of Reavon, joined together to slay the diety.

Shortly after this moment, Rhadymanthus disappeared from the historical record. He was succeeded by another monarch, and virtually no one knows what became of him. Not only was he an ancient king of Melaine, he was also a wise philosopher. None of his own writings have survived, but records describing him as a great philosopher king, and others quoting him, have lingered. Not much is known about his life prior to ascending to the throne either, other than he spent much of his youth on the island fortress city of Santijacobo. And thus, Rhadymanthus is an enigma to history. He became one of Melaine's greatest legends, and yet virtually nothing is known of him from before or after the tale.
